I seem to be sending you away from my blog at the moment to read other stuff, but so much is happening right now in the world that is of interest, with regards to the exciting times we find ourselves in…
Bear with me here – I don’t quite understand this mentality of adoration and idol worship of another human being. I have watched with fascination, the absolute worship of Barack Obama, seen the T-shirts, read the slogans, looked at some web sites, heard parts of his speeches, but what disturbs me the most is the look on people’s faces who follow him, when they are looking at him.
My question is, why?
He is not our world Saviour, he is not God as some claim. He is just a man, and has been and is and still will be, fallible and self-serving no matter how smooth, slick and brilliant his rhetoric appears right now…
I know on a level that he is one of the most important men in the world to many right now, but does he really warrant all this adoration that has gone on before and all that is going on now? I think the world is in for a huge shock once things get going under the, Obama driven life.
Right now I think of the chaos that is now taking place in Washington DC regarding the inauguration of Obama. Some tickets have been heard of going for USD$40 000 for a single seat to watch a man become a president? Take a look at this link at the San Francisco Chronicle. People are going crazy to get tickets and a place to stay so they can watch the inauguration in person, which is only happening in 2 months from now. Folks living in and around Washington are going crazy to make money off the back of this by letting their rooms or homes for a stack of money. People are going crazy. The whole thing is like a feeding frenzy! It leaves me feeling ill.
Tell me I’ve lost the plot, tell me I’m naive and slow, tell me you agree, add your own thoughts if you have any on this. So what do you thnk this is all about? Talk to me.
If you know nothing else, know this – that God is in full control of what is going on just as He has always been. He raises up and takes down, as is His Sovereign right. His future plans are unfolding as we carry on with our everyday lives just as it has always been. It has always been and will always be about Him. We are moving into interesting times as Bible believing Christians. We need to stay close to the Lord all the time as a child with it’s father. Absolutely trusting Him no matter what is in front of our eyes. Absolutely knowing that He is Faithful and True and will bring about His outcome for each of our lives for His glory.

In my view, we are surely, truly entering into the end of days, and the Lord will be (already is) calling forth a remnant who will go through the furnace of affliction and tribulation.
These disciples will bring honor and glory to His name as they overcome by the blood of the Lamb, the word of their testimony, and not loving their lives, even unto death.
They will turn many to righteousness and shine forth as the stars forever, but it will be painful and costly.
How’s THAT hit you?
Exactly as I understand it. We are very much entering the end of days. Our faith is going to be tested as never before. It will be a time of sifting.
Do we believe in a righteous Holy God and have a living relationship with Him through the cross of Christ and His atonement or simply a belief in a creed that we have grown up with or have been misled into believing because we said a prayer sometime – a belief in a set of beliefs and principals? Time will tell.
As my husband said to me when 9/11 happened, “I don’t think our world will ever be the same again”, I say it here again.
We are moving into another phase of God’s timeline.
We so desperately need to immerse ourselves in the Lord, forsaking all others and get down to knowing His word.

Hey Jessie, Indeed, crazy days. I agree that 911 was a turning point in history. It’s a trumpet blast, for those who will hear.

Finally stopping by and I noticed this article first. I, too, am flabbergasted at the deification this man has received. I do not for a minute believe he understands the ramifications of the adoration he has accepted.
I did notice that he looked much more serious and even shaken at his press conference after his first top secret security briefing. I think the shades are beginning to come off and he may realize he has “sold his soul” (?) for a moment in history. I hope I am wrong, but the way things are going I believe we will see worldwide persecuton of Christians in our lifetime. At least of those who will not deny the one ture God in Christ Jesus.

I watched 3 parts of a 6-part series last evening with my husband, by a Prof Walter Veith, who has a web site called Amazing Discoveres. He has done many, many lectures on various aspects of this planet from many different angles, but always with the Christian perspective on it all. I sit here rather stunned this morning.
This particular series is about the secret societies in the world. I have known about these societies, but never for a moment realised just how complete the control they have had and still have today. Before I write anything more about it, I want to watch the rest. I will probably write on FD about it.
I now know that nothing will surprise me about what goes on in the world, ever again and that Mr Obama is just part of a daisy chain of many before him and probably still more to come….
Almighty God Is in full control and winding down this world just as He tells us He will in His Word. Jesus is our only hope and we can rejoice in this knowledge if we are His and need not fear anything that is going to come.
