these verses come to mind from Ephesians 1.. and Jude
Ephesians:
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

8Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Jude:
24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

I too like to know about authors of songs and books that have touched my soul – I have been most blessed by reading the biographies of men and women of God – usually from long ago.

Hadn’t check for a reply until now….thought I would get an email notification. Whenever I hear a quote or some song that seems to resonate with me I like to read something about the author. I have been blessed by the lives of many of them. I will see what I can find out about Frances Brook. I did find the F. Brook and Frederick Brook as the author on different sites but no other background.

Yes, I did write it out of going through much and I still get my reflection shown to me when I need it I believe it is the way of all of us have to go as the Lord takes us through the process of sanctification…

We can pat ourselves very quickly on the back and feel really great about ourselves as the world has a mantra that tells us we are wonderful creatures and our ego and our flesh loves it!

As humans, we are very strong-willed and need to often be shown very directly where we are at. Only then are we able to understand that we still have a loooong way to go and that the Lord is the One Who brings both the understanding and then the changes about… He always give us a sense of hope. Satan on the other hand, condemns us and we feel we will never be able to lift our head again.

The Lord’s ‘Mirror’ is a kindness, a mercy and done with such a love that I believe we will only fully comprehend, once we are with Him eternally.
