Anyone can keep his joy when he's riding high in the Holy Ghost, not being tried or tempted. But God wants us to keep ourselves in his love at all times—especially in our temptations. The apostle John tells us very simply how we can keep ourselves in God's love: "We have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that […]
Sola Scriptura
The Bible is the sole written divine revelation and alone can bind the conscience of believers absolutely.
Sola Fide
Justification is by faith alone. The merit of Christ imputed to us by faith is the sole ground of our acceptance by God, by which our sins are remitted.
Solus Christus
Christ is the only mediator through whose work we are redeemed.
Sola Gratia
Our salvation rests solely on the work of God’s grace for us and in us.
My beloved sister Marge, of whom I wrote about in my last post, has just gone home to the Lord. Her family were all with her and her real life is now beginning…
Take your glory Lord for her life, her testimony and her unwavering faith in you.
Praise you beloved Lord.
2 Corinthians 5:1-9
1 For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, 3 if [...]
Do you ever find that your Christian walk is frustrating? Are you trying so hard to be a Christian, yet finding yourself instead so confused and flip-flopping from feeling you are on top of it, only to find yourself failing over an over and want to crawl away in guilt or lash out in anger at the seeming futility of trying to make it work or ‘feel real’? You may even be feeling so sick of yourself and feeling a failure and don’t see the point of going on.
The heavens declare the glory of the Lord. Psalm 19:1
This morning I was replying to a post on another blog, and a Hymn written by Frederick Brook was brought to mind. It is a heart cry for God to do what He has to do in us, at any cost to ourselves.
Whatever it takes Lord, Please Do It!
My goal is God Himself, not joy, nor peace,
Nor even blessing, but Himself, my God;
‘Tis His to lead me there—not mine, but His—
At any cost, dear Lord, by any road.

So faith bounds forward to its goal in God,
And love can [...]
After having been through some immense difficulty recently, as mentioned in a few of my previous posts back, the Lord has mercifully delivered me out of the storm and placed my feet quietly on dry ground.
At times I would feel that I was going to break in two and believe me, I know how weak my flesh is and know how often I am tempted look to the circumstances instead of looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith. (Heb 12:2) I was compelled to keep my eyes on Him and allow Him to bring about whatever He [...]

“I INDEED… BUT HE”
I indeed baptize you with water . . but He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and fire.” Matthew 3:11
Have I ever come to a place in my experience where I can say – “I indeed – but He”? Until that moment does come, I will never know what the baptism of the Holy Ghost means. I indeed am at an end, I cannot do a thing: but He begins just there – He does the things no one else can ever do. Am I prepared for [...]
Am I living with the Lord 24/7 fully dependent on Him regardless of the size of the storm roaring about me?
Am I living so surrendered to Him that I have the simplicity of knowing that there is nothing going on, that He does not have under His full control?
And am I prepared to step off the boat in Him, when there is no solid ground beneath my feet, but knowing fully that He will make a way and that the outcome will be His?
Oh dear precious Lord, these thoughts are the cry of my heart this day. Do whatever you [...]
I heard a very heart-warming story yesterday afternoon.
My dad-in-law is very involved with a lovely local Christian family at his church who live in a newly developed township called Cosmo City. To give you a little background – Cosmo City has been built with different types of homes – some are privately bought, while others are what we call here, RDP homes.
Those are homes built by the government to alleviate the hardship of folks living in corrugated shacks which are prevalent all over the place here. These RDP homes are very basic, two to three rooms and an [...]
