Salvation is mine
not by mine own doing
but by a divine obedience
given from Another
in my stead
on a cross
on a hill
foreordained
before time began.
And through His obedience
I can now come
and approach The Throne
without fear
with supreme confidence
only because it is finished
on a cross
on a hill
foreordained
before time began.
Everything that I am
and all that I have
has been bestowed as a gift
given by Him
and is there only because
He bore my sin
on a cross
on a hill
foreordained
before time began.
How could I ever dare think
to stand and question
if He knows what He’s doing
with me and my life
When my Salvation is sound?
Oh, it’s only easy for me
because it cost Him so much
and I’m only too aware
that it did
on a cross
on a hill
foreordained
before time began.
